December 3  - Plants and People Sunday, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., “Ask a Master Gardener.” Find out how to keep your plants happy and thriving. A Master Gardener from the University of Maryland Extension Service will be on site to answer all of your gardening questions. Free, though a $5 per person donation is encouraged.

December 10 - Plants and People Sunday, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., “Exploration Station.” Elementary-aged children and youth experience fun and educational hands-on horticulture activities. Free, though a $5 per person donation is encouraged.

December 17 - Plants and People Sunday, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., “Sprouts.” Introduce your pre-k and early elementary-aged children to the world of plants with a craft activity. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Free, though a $5 per person donation is encouraged.

December 24 - Plants and People Sunday, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., “Science Demonstration.” Join Dr. Alan Stone for demonstrations and items on display. Explore the interconnections between plants, science, and even engineering. Explore the science behind the plants with Dr. Stone! Bring your curiosity to the conservatory, and discover the interconnection between plants and people in our everyday world.

December 31 – Plants and People Sunday, 1:30 – 3:30 p.m., “Free Guided Tours of the Conservatory.” Admission donations are still greatly appreciated. Bring your curious minds to learn about worldwide plant ecosystems for a virtual trip around the world and through history! Learn about the Victorian-era glass house, while exploring plants from tropical, Mediterranean, and desert biomes. Join us for an in-depth look at our collection of plants, and experience first-hand their connections and contributions to the food, medicines, and economic vitality of our Earth. Don’t miss out – free guided tours happen only four times a year!
